To my Lakeland Friends,

When we first conceived of The Lake District, we had a vision for something that would be truly special. As we are all witnessing this vision come to life, I am overwhelmed with excitement because of YOU and for that I am grateful. Thank you for all of your support.

We had always hoped the community would welcome The Lake District, but we never anticipated the enthusiasm we are receiving. Each day we get messages from you and from businesses interested in making The Lake District their future home. Soon, we will call each other neighbors.

Starting today, I will be personally writing a letter to the entire community of Lakeland every month. I want to keep you updated with all of the exciting developments and upcoming events.

Most recently, we celebrated the demolition of the last remaining wall of the old factory outlet mall. It was such a joy to see Mayor Bunker get in the excavator and knock down the wall. If you haven’t seen it yet, we have a video of the entire event posted on our Facebook page. Go watch it!

Join us for a Sneak Preview Tour of The Lake District site on Saturday, March 24th at 11:30am.
Meet us 300 feet south of the old mall entrance!

You’ve seen the progress as you drive by the construction site, but very few people have had the opportunity to tour the main property of The Lake District behind the yellow gate. We are excited to announce that we are holding a Sneak Preview Tour open to the public! Light food and beverages will be provided, and we will hold a presentation in the meadow where you will have the opportunity to ask me and our partners questions about the development. We’re also going to make sure that everyone who RSVPs does not walk away empty-handed. We’ll have giveaways and commemorative gift bags for you take home!

Thank you again for your incredible support. I look forward to meeting you on March 24th!
